The Francis Holistic Medical Center, P.C. is pleased to offer holistic primary medical care for children from N. Thomas LaCava, M.D.
Dr. LaCava is a board-certified physician in Pediatrics and Environmental Medicine. He has been practicing in the central Massachusetts area for over thirty years.
Dr. LaCava prefers to use natural, traditional, and environmental treatments involving environmental and dietary changes. The emphasis will be on selecting appropriate diets for each child and giving needed nutritional supplements to prevent infections. Parents will not be aggressively forced to give immunizations if they are clearly informed and take personal responsibility for their decision if they choose not to immunize. Selected drug therapies will be used where preventive measures, combination homeopathics, or herbal therapies fail or are inappropriate.

For Dr. LaCava's pediatric primary care services, we accept a variety of insurance carriers. A list of contracted insurers is indicated below. Parents who want their children to have a primary care relationship with this office will be required to offer as much organic food as possible and give their child a multivitamin/multimineral plus an extra Vitamin D, if tolerated and come into the office SCENT-FREE!

Francis Holistic Medical Center is located on Route 12 at 360 W. Boylston Street, inside the Meadowbrook Plaza in West Boylston, Massachusetts. Our office is located in a residential suburban town outside of Worcester, Massachusetts at some distance from other medical centers and facilities. We chose this site in order to provide easy access to the interstate (Route I-190) and ample free parking for patients. Consequently, only people willing to drive would be appropriate for this office, since public transportation is limited.
Because we are a considerable distance from other medical centers and facilities, children with frequent acute illnesses or chronic diseases which could predispose them to requiring laboratory, emergency room or other diagnostic support may not be appropriate persons for this site. If there are chronic conditions which would predispose your child to urgent care or emergency room visits, please call the office to speak with the receptionist to see if this site would be appropriate for your child before transferring your child's primary medical care to this office.
